Welcome to No. 49 (District of Kapiti) Squadron, Air Training Corps.

Over the coming weeks and months (and probably years!), this site will be under development. Soon it will feature up to date information on the events and activities undertaken by the unit as well as information on the Unit itself.

It is also intended to be a communication tool for members of the unit, with training related information and material available via secure login.

Please direct any queries to the Admin Office via e-mail.

We are always recruiting! If you are between 13 and 15 years old and are interested in joining No. 49 Squadron, feel free to come along one Wednesday night towards the end of Term 3 or beginning of Term 4, or call us to register your interest!

    Hi there

Our son Jack who will be 13 on Nov 1 is very interested in joining the 49th.

Please advise what we have to do to start this process.

    Morena folk,

    Gina-Marie Aburn here, (Manuka-Rose’s mum).

Manuka-Rose only just informed me that she chose not to opt into the Wanaka trip – I had no idea… She felt the costs are completely out of reach for us, therefore took it upon herself to not place a perceived burden on me.

Would you mind sending me the outline of the planned trip and costs involved. Or is it too late to pencil her in? We might find a way. I just need to know when booking costs, etc, need to be paid, before I make the decision (if when can raise the funds, or it’s impossible for me to organize).

She’s never been to this part of the South Island, nor an event quite like the WarBirds Over Wanaka – I think she’d love it.

Look forward to hearing from you.

    Nga mihi nui
    Gina-Marie Aburn
