The opening of the new Wellington cadet centre was an event worth witnessing.
Those present would have seen the Chief of Navy Rear Admiral David Ledson and the Chief of Defence Force Lieutenant General Jerry Mateparae walking up the red carpet. Cadet Forces put on a stunning display with a full Honour Guard complete with DPTA's, Sword's and standards.
Those cadets who went did our squadron proud by making up a part of the main cadet contingent and standing completely still for the best part of an hour.
As we toured the cadet centre after the ceremoy, it is definatly a facility to be proud of.
